Orchid Ramble Pty Ltd was set up by Diana and Ross Burns for the purpose of conducting events such as “Artist in Residence” and Health and Well Being weekends in the beautiful Margaret River region in Western Australia.
Diana Burns is an accomplished artist who specialises in water colour painting.
Before settling in Margaret River in November 2011, Diana lived in Venus Bay in the South Gippsland region of Victoria. Prior to that, she lived for many years in Canberra.
Diana’s artwork is influenced by her deep appreciation of the natural environment that she has lived in, particularly the rugged and pristine coastlines of South Gippsland and, now, Margaret River.
Her subtle use of colour, texture and light captures the natural beauty of both landscape and local fauna and flora.
Diana has integrated quickly into the artist community in Margaret River and will be conducting her own painting workshops as well as ‘Artist in Residence’ events which will be presented by ‘guest’ water colour artists from across Australia.
She will also be exhibiting her own artwork in local galleries.
In addition to her proficiency as a water colour artist, Diana displays her considerable creative talents in knitting, crocheting and other handcrafts. She will also be conducting workshops and exhibitions in these and other mediums to meet demand as it arises.
